Control Your Interactions and Privacy

Threads also gives you tools to control your interactions and privacy on the platform. You can control who can mention you or reply to you within Threads. You can also filter out replies that contain specific words or phrases that you don’t want to see on your feed. You can also unfollow, block, restrict or report any user or profile that bothers you.

To control who can mention you or reply to you within Threads, tap on the settings icon at the top left corner of your profile page. Then tap on Privacy. You will see options for Mentions and Replies. You can choose whether you want to allow mentions or replies from Everyone, People You Follow or No One.

To filter out replies that contain specific words or phrases, tap on the settings icon at the top left corner of your profile page. Then tap on Hidden Words. You will see a list of words or phrases that are already filtered out by default. You can add more words or phrases by tapping on Add Hidden Word. You can also remove any word or phrase by tapping on it and then tapping on Remove.

To unfollow, block, restrict or report any user or profile, tap on their name or photo to go to their profile page. Then tap on the three-dot menu at the top right corner of their profile page. You will see options for Unfollow, Block, Restrict or Report. You can choose any of them as you wish.
